I have been brought to tears by this video…in a good way! Watch it and then I have a few (very few) comments to make.

Wow…

I have always believed teachers make a difference in more ways than just imparting knowledge to people, young and…not so young. The brilliance in Mr. Mali’s view is that financial gain are no where on the radar when asked the question, “What do you make?”

Possibly what makes this video choke me up is when I think about the teacher, Mr. Oliver, in Brian McLaren’s “New Kind of Christian” series. He was a pastor who became a teacher and expressed his belief that he never left full-time ministry. He made it a point to make a significant difference in the lives of those he spent the most time with.

I blogged about this type of transition in my own life not too long ago and messages like this one inspire me more than you can imagine!

Lord, I want to be someone who you use to make a difference. Don’t let a day go by without putting on my heart the question “What do you make?”
