The Bald Goat

I don’t know why, but this short film has been running through my head all day. I ran across this short film last year after Amy and I attended the 24fps Film Festival “Best of the Rest” night at the Paramount Theater. I was looking up one of the videos online and found it at the Doorpost Film Project. Films are submitted into this contest and placed in categories based on the message of the film. That means that each film has a message. If you have a chance, check out the short films. Good stuff…

Anyway, Here is the short film “The Butterfly Circus”. You may have already seen it or read a blog by someone who has seen it. I am not sharing it because it is new, but because it played over and over in my head today.

Such powerful messages of hope, purpose, struggle, community, value, love…

Seriously, there is so much here. I may want to blog more about this video sharing my thoughts about the many themes, but for now I want to know what stands out to you? What do you see here? What image or line is burned in your mind?

I probably don’t have to tell you that I struggle to make it through this video without crying. It is absolutely moving.
